Luxe Magazine lets you experience the revival of Les Roches, a 5-star Relais & Châteaux.
Suspended between sky and the Mediterranean, Les Roches reinvents hospitality under the Relais & Châteaux banner. Luxe Magazine experienced a rare moment there, where stone architecture, understated luxury, and the memory of the elements meet. A reimagined destination offering a timeless seaside art of living.
Some places need only the right gaze to be reborn—places whose strength lies not in what they show, but in what they whisper. In Le Lavandou, along a preserved stretch of the Var coastline,
Les Roches Hotel stands as one of those rare places.
It’s not just another hotel on the Côte d’Azur, but a singular retreat carved into the soul of stone, where architecture embraces the rock and the past lingers on every terrace, every curve, every shadow cast over the sea.

At the origin of this rebirth is Delphine André, a discreet yet prominent figure in luxury hospitality and already the owner of
Les Barmes de l’Ours in Val d’Isère.
Here, she leads a deeply personal project, where aesthetic ambition is matched by respect for the site. To bring her vision to life, she enlisted the talented firm Pietri Architectes, known for their sensitive lines and contextual approach. Together, they envisioned a hotel that doesn’t feel artificially built but rather as though it has always existed, born naturally from the landscape.

Here, the rock is not an obstacle—it is the starting point. The structure blends into the cliffside as if it had always been there, and from the sea, the effect is striking. The hotel rises like a mineral mirage—both grounded and ethereal, like a soft fortress caressed by sea spray. Every detail was designed to celebrate raw materials, magnify silence, and preserve the site’s innate power.
Les Roches Hotel is not content with being beautiful; it tells a story—a story of a land where nature still reigns supreme. The rocks, silent witnesses of a bygone era, now host this elegant hotel. Delphine André hasn’t erased the past; she has dressed it in mineral splendor that emanates from every wall, where luxury is measured by the density of noble materials and the light captured by the stone.

Behind sculpted façades, 42 rooms and suites with clean, minimalist lines continue the dialogue with the site’s natural beauty. The primal force rooted in the stone is never cold—it’s a gesture of respect for the environment and an homage to raw beauty. Carefully selected materials, controlled lighting, and expansive sea views all contribute to a rare and meditative serenity.
The richness of the hotel also expresses itself through its three restaurants, led by Chef Antoine Gras, each telling its own culinary story. His cuisine draws from local roots, the bounty of the sea, and the fragrances of the maquis to create dishes that combine emotion, sophistication, and authenticity.
The intimate spa, facing the sea and blending into the infinite blue of the Mediterranean, is equally minimalistic in design. Every treatment promises rebirth, guided by exceptional rituals and rare essences. Everything is calm—the body relaxes, the mind drifts into slumber. The spa will open soon.
Like a liquid mirror stretching to the horizon, the hotel’s 16-meter-long pool—with sleek lines and perfect reflections—embraces the sky and gazes toward the Îles du Levant. The water becomes a promise of escape…
Nearby, a stunning outdoor bar offers a stage for shifting light between azure and gold. Between sky, sea, and raised glasses, everything invites you to forget time.

On this much-anticipated early summer day, Les Roches Hotel opened its doors, and the unveiling of this long-forgotten place matched its breathtaking beauty. What Delphine André has gifted to Les Roches is a radiant destiny—quietly offered, for this lover of life prefers humble triumphs.
In a part of the Var often merely brushed past, Les Roches Hotel—infused with chic, understated luxury and rooted in stone—offers a new vision of the Côte d’Azur: a promise of silence, elegance, unspoiled nature, and moments where every second counts.
