Louboutin, a work of art

The reputation of the French shoemaker Louboutin is not to be made anymore. Everywhere, you can see these famous red soles adding the refined "Louboutin touch" to an outfit. The London Design Museum presents the first UK retrospective on more than 10 years of Louboutin's excellence in shoemaking.

An iconic brand

After working as a freelance designer, creating shoes for names like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent or Maud Frizon, the young Christian Louboutin decided to set up his own company. Success was imminent. With an impressive list of clients with names like Diane Von Fürstenberg and Catherine Deneuve, Louboutin quickly became one of the most prestigious shoemakers. More than just an exhibition of some of the most famous shoe models, the museum also focuses on the creative process of this talented designer. By showing some of his personal drawings, the sources of inspiration for his creativity, as well as a unique section dedicated to his collaboration with David Lynch, the "Fetish" exhibition. A journey into the world of the most prestigious womens shoe designer of today.
