Porsche launches its first 100% electric SUV
With the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, Porsche unveils the second generation of the Macan model launched ten years ago, in a 100% electric and incredibly sporty version!
"With the 100% electric Macan, we aim to offer the most sporty model in its segment," says Jörg Kerner, head of the Macan range. The tone is set. The Macan 4 and Macan Turbo deliver typically Porsche performance, optimal range, and absolute ease of use.
Porsche is synonymous with acceleration power, and to recreate this DNA in a 100% electric vehicle, the SUV is equipped with the latest generation of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSM) on both the front and rear axles. This technology provides it with outstanding efficiency and optimal reproducibility of delivered power.
In combination with Launch Control mode, the Macan 4 develops up to 408 hp (300 kW), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 220 km/h. With overboost mode, the Macan Turbo achieves up to 639 hp (470 kW), accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and reaches 260 km/h. Unmatched performance to date in the sports electric segment.
With a gross capacity of 100 kWh, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes, and the mixed cycle range is 613 km for the Macan 4 and 591 km for the Macan Turbo.
This SUV has the proportions of a sports car and the lines of a coupé. It embodies all the characteristics of Porsche design. The dynamic silhouette with the low incline of the front hood and the pronounced curvature of the fenders, the plunging roofline extending to the rear window, frameless doors, and Sideblades give it a sleek design, while the broad shoulders give the rear a muscular look.
