At a time when the smoking ban is strictly being applied in basically all public areas, resulting in an exode of smokers onto the streets for a quick puff and to mix their solitude with that of other nicotine fans, Airdiem isreviving the smoking room as an area for socialization centred around luxurious narghiles. Chic and friendly.
A tasting ceremony
Let us just forget for an instant the never-ending cigarette ritual, the crackling of freshly lit tobacco, the universal and solitary gesture of the smoker, to return to a real tasting ceremony: the one that takes place around the narghile. This Asian and Middle Eastern tradition that goes back several hundred years gathers guests around a large water pipe to inhale together long curls, while transmitting, in a fit of mutual consent, their respective viruses. That is without a doubt the price to pay to be together again, to share a session of mature and accepted collective intoxication, in a relaxed and casual manner.... So what’s left is to reinvent this ancestral chicha to convert it into a design object, all while incorporating all of the latest health recommendations. That is what has been done with Airdiem that occidentalizes this cult object, soliciting the best creators and the most ambitious materials for its creation.

Feminine roundness and red plexiglas for the WHY (Y) narghile, pure and abstract forms in 18-carat gold enhanced with a bred mink pipe for the narghile revisited and retouched by Nedda El-Asmar (Hermès, Puiforcat,...) or the minimalism of a nomad narghile in Corian and stainless steel: there are really one thousand and one ways to reappropriate the chicha, letting it evolve in a new world, adopting new codes without sacrificing the values of sharing, escape and social interaction. Moreover, new purists will discover a top class range of accessories. Blending boxes, steamer trunks, nomad furniture and other cigar caves : it is high time to rethink the smoke room.
