Alleno, a sure ride to the top!

Cheval Blanc celebrated its second anniversary with a splash and took on a 3-star. Well, at least the services of a 3-star chef, namely Yannick Alléno, the chef of the Hôtel Meurice, who has been elected by his colleagues as the best 2008 French chef. He is the one that the Courchevel 1850 hotel solicited to ‘sign’ its latest gourmet orchestration. Yannick Alléno indeed is sure to climb to the summit to refresh the haute cuisine at this luxury ski resort and to: «create a special, unique universe for Cheval Blanc, putting local products in the limelight, without losing sight of contemporary codes of prestige». One of his protégés, the young chef Denis Fetisson (former Louis XV and Moulin de Mougins), is in charge of putting this symphony of savours to music at the « Le1947 » restaurant. On the lunch menu, is a 1-9-4-7 buffet with 1 soup as a starter, 9 tapas from the mountain, 4 dishes of the day and 7 traditional desserts which have been reinvented.
