The Sony Walkman is back on track!

Almost 30 years after its first Walkman, Sony has come out with the slim-line Walkman Video MP3 player which is more beautifully styled, light and with the most optimal performance ever. This is a legitimate expansion of NWZ-A810, offering attractive features in terms of storage capacity, autonomy plus the Bluetooth Stereo connectivity. Here are the nitty-gritty details.

The Walkman is back!

October 2001: Apple launched the most popular digital walkman on the market, throwing all of its competitors off balance in terms of technology and design. In 2004, i.e. 25 years after the Walkman «invention», and after lengthy legal battles, Andreas Pavel was finally recognized by Sony as the original inventor of the Walkman, giving back to Andreas Pavel, what belongs to Andreas Pavel : making him once again the 'father' of the portable audio player. However, in spite of these marketing and technological setbacks, the Japanese firm never gave up, but in fact, 'turned the gas on full-speed'. Mobilizing itself for the attack on the 'little Apple', Sony resisted. Better yet, it succeeded in shaking up the leader of digital portable audio players. By capitalizing on the legendary Walkman label, by being especially attentive to design issues and by refocusing on its initial music functions (before adding the indispensable video players, Bluetooth...), Sony has gradually gotten back into the race. The result: a perfect design, exceptional sturdiness, Sony is again on track tomorrow with NWZ-A820!

Autonomy and high performance features

It proudly displays a bright, crisp 2.4” LCD screen, a 16 gigabytes storage capacity (i.e. 62 hours of video or 3800 songs playback), running fluid and crispy video viewing with excellent contrast and beautiful colour-rich screen: there's no doubt that the NWZ-A820 does have a lot to be proud about! Add to that, Bluetooth Stereo connectivity, generous autonomy (up to 10 hours of video or 36 hours of uninterrupted music playback) and a sound quality to sell your soul for, and you definitely have on hand, the Walkman video MP3 player of the times. For digital fans, the NWZ-A820 comes in black, silver and pink. The iPod should do well...!
