Guerlain's Nuit d'amour: Art and the Senses

Whether it was from Saint-Exupery's “Vol de Nuit” or “Chamade” by Francoise Sagan, Guerlain has never been able to hide the fact that it has drawn its inspiration from all that is mythical and emotional in the arts. This time with “Nuit d'amour”, the new perfume from Guerlain recreates all the mystery and power of suggestion of Klimt's “Woman in Black Hat and Boa”, in a limited edition ...of 80 bottles. Parsimonious spraying is recommended!

Explicit... this Fragrance

Year after year we have discovered Guerlain's striking fragrances, for the most part poetically yet modestly named -  Shalimar and Jicky, for instance, spring to mind. Therefore there is something rather quaint in having choosen such an obvious name for the latest perfume: Nuit d'amour. In terms of presentation, Guerlain uses the same strategy, playing the explicit and provocative card, rather than taking a more subtle route. Do you doubt it? Look carefully at the suggestive shape of the bottle top. Although be assured, one can still detect the House of Guerlain's legendary good taste of in the rows of pearls, reminiscent of Klimt's feather boa, in the fine workmanship of the crystal baccarat flask, and of course in the ravishing vapours emanating from it.

Enveloped in an Embrace

Both sensual and carnal, as it envelops your throat and shoulders, the fragrance proves floral, powdery and woody at the same time. With the freshness of lychee and the sweet sharpness of a pink berry added to the may rose and the iris, the subtle tone of sandalwood maintains the caressing warmth of the aroma, in this fragrance conceived of as an embrace. All that remains is to be lucky enough to have the 1800 € to purchase it. It's a little alarming that a Nuit d'amour should be such a privilege...
