The One and Only King on DVD

For those of you who are wondering what to do these long winter nights, Warner Bros suggests you take advantage of them by watching some of Elvis Presley's greatest films again. On the menu: 8 films and a recording of a mythical concert, all presented in a prestigious collection. Apparently, our long chilly nights will be very rock'n roll!

God Save the King!

It is already 30 years since he left us, yet even so, we still lap up anything to do with the King. Fans everywhere were delighted to hear that this new collection of films which made such an impact on the history of rock'n roll is to be re-released in November 2007. Of Elvis' 31 movies, each one a huge popular success, Warner Bros owns eight: Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas, It Happened at the World's Fair, Kissin' Cousins, Girl Happy, Live a Little, Love a Little, Elvis: That's the Way It Is and This Is Elvis, all to be released as Elvis: Blue Suede Collection. The undoubted bonus for Elvis fans in this selection they will find the completely restored film of the King's mythical concert in Las Vegas in 1970. At his peak, Elvis could not be more impressive. Some have been known to lose their heads watching him dance to fiendish rhythms in his hip-gyrating style, which earned him the nick-name of the “Pelvis”...no, undeniably, the King is not dead!
