Murano Oriental Resort: the Parisian charm in Marrakech

The original atmosphere of the Murano Hotel, so contemporarily Parisian is becoming more and more popular abroad, is taking on an oriental character and is being set up in Morocco, in the fantastic city of Marrakech, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains.
When desert becomes a showcase

In the blink of a plane trip you find yourself transported into the doors of the Moroccan desert. Located 20 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the Medina, in the North-East of the Red City, the Murano Oriental Resort welcomes you by offering you tradition, modernity, quietness and, why not, exquisite delight. The setting is elegant and authentic, filled with white and red furniture and a sumptuous swimming pool. To reach the Medina, Alfa-Romeos with chauffeurs are put at your disposal. In the three-hectare park planted with trees, in the middle of palm trees, olive trees and orange trees, five villas with ochre walls, oval windows and a modern design interior, are spread out.

Four riads and a villa

The main villa, “Murano”, shelters a lounge, a restaurant, a bar and a meeting room. The bedrooms are divided in four riads. The lobby, just like the version in Paris, welcomes you with its disproportionate Chesterfield, topped with a white Murano chandelier that has a diameter of 3.2 metres. The outside bar is located next to the 32 metre-long swimming pool, covered with red tiles and lit up at night. Like in Paris, there is music in the lobby as well as by the pool or the bar. The Parisian bar is coloured but the Oriental one is lined in white and black, in harmony with the ground.

A little bit of Paris in Marrakech, a little bit of Morocco in Paris

The gourmet menu of the restaurant, conceived under the leadership of Antoine Perray, a former chef at the Crillon and the Plaza-Athénée, is common to both places. There is a 24-hour service anywhere you want. The menu for the swimming pool offers for example a bar fillet a la plancha, the heart of smoked salmon set on a potato waffle as well as Fatima's tagine or the Murano Orientalburger. Not to mention the famous Parisian brunch that was twice voted “Best Brunch of Paris” and is available on Saturdays and Sundays.

When comfort meets with tradition

The 37 bedrooms and suites are spread over four riads with for each of them, a private a secret swimming pool... Each bedroom has white stucco walls covered with net curtains and offers a bathroom in black marble and woodwork full of local products such as Neroli and Arganessential oils. A four-poster bed with gigantic pillows add to the bedroom whilst a fire place and a terrace with view on the park, the Atlas Mountains and the desert, tempt you to rest. Technology combines with comfort and relaxation thanks to a LCD screen, a hi-fi, a DVD player and a Nespresso Coffee machine for your own pleasure.

More surprises to come

Soon, four top-floor suites of 150 m2 each will be built on the roofs of the villas and during the second semester of 2008, a 1000m2 spa with Hammam and indoor swimming pool will complete the aesthetic treatments and the massages that can already be dispensed to your convenience in your room or by the pool.
