LUX* Grand Gaube, a new resort on Mauritius North Coast

This summer, you will fall in love with LUX* Grand Gaube, a new retro-chic resort by Kelly Hoppen, mixing a five-star service with a beach villa's design. Tropical lush vegetation, lagoons, beaches, swimming-pools, gardens, restaurants, amazing views, Spa, tennis, golf and water sports are also part of these luxurious but simple holidays.

A design by Kelly Hoppen

The big trend of bohemian-chic design with tropical prints and rattan everywhere has arrived to Mauritius. In fact, the LUX* Grand Gaube called the famous British designer Kelly Hoppen to create the atmosphere of the resort's different rooms, suites, villas, restaurants, bars and spaces to gather or, isolate from others. The result ? A warm, trendy and colorful setting as if you were in your own beach villa. We also love the South-America influences, the XXL sofas and armchairs with shimmering cushions and tall stools around corners. For the anecdote, Kelly Hoppen, Vivienne Westwood's friend (they are fighting against tropical forests deforestation together), also signed the design of many yachts, hotels, penthouses, flats, chalets and villas in Verbier, New York, Dubai, Barcelona and Hong Kong but also the one of Samsung corner at Harrods.

Beautiful spaces to chill (and eat)

Starting with the 21 Romantic Junior Suites, 70m2 cocoons opened on the Ocean... They are really sophisticated with their clear wood and summer design, their room adorned with a canopy bed opened on a large bathroom and a spacious balcony with loungers and outdoor bathtub for two.

As for the restaurants, we love the "Palm Court" and its "live cooking" corners where the Chef cooks in front of you. The place features Mediterranean tapas, South-West Asia specialties, rotisserie, fresh juices bar, bakery, buffet of desserts, wine bar for tastings and independent cocktail bar. Other spot, the "Beach Rouge" lounge on the resort's beach. The "INTI" restaurant mixes open-kitchen, latin music and sofas for two facing the Ocean with "Hot Salsa" grilled meats, "Ceviche, Tiradito & Pisco" bar and bakery buffet for diners influenced by Peru and Argentina. Finally, the "Banyan", at the heart of the nature, offers a genuine Creole smokehouse for delicious grilled fishes and meats but also a wooden cabin for burgers and a perched cabin dedicated to rum in the trees as well as a mobile bar called "French Kiss".

And just because you have to get back into shape after too many gastronomy and farniente around the two beaches and three swimming-pools of the resort, the LUX* Grand Gaube also features a sports room (fitness, meditation, yoga classes), a tennis academy, a golf course and a petanque court ! No mentioning the whole hectare dedicated to wellness with the Spa LUX* Me offering custom-made treatments and other personalized nutrition programs.
