5 beautiful and luxurious swimming-pools

This summer, switch between beaches and swimming-pools thanks to our selection of amazing pools with smart architecture between hanging in the air's basin and infinity pool overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea...

The Biltmore Miami Pool

Named largest swimming-pool on the East-Coast of the USA with its 2 000m², the Biltmore's pool has its own story... In the 30's, while Hollywood and Broadway were the main attractions, the pool used to welcome the biggest celebrities for Pool Parties, aquatic shows and diving shows. Johnny Weissmuller, the Olympic champion who became Tarzan but also Esther Williams, swimmer and Hollywood star were part of the regular customers. Today, the pool still is the perfect playground for kids and teenagers while their parents enjoy the private cabins in the shade of the palm trees, hibiscus and bougainvillea, to relax after few lengths.

The second largest swimming-pool in the world

Called the "XXL swimming-pool", the Algarrobo pool dominates the seaside resort of the same name, located in Chile, in Valparaiso region. Pacific Ocean waters being too cold and dangerous, this giant swimming-pool has been built for "San Alfonso del Mar" residence's inhabitants, so they can swim within 7,7 hectares of filtered and purified sea water (250 million liters of sea water renewed at 800 000 liters per day). For the little story, its annual maintenance fee are close to 4 millions of euros...

An hanging swimming-pool in Dallas

We love the contrast between Dallas business neighborhood and the suspended swimming-pool of The Joule Hotel, secretly nestled on the building's top floor. Hidden behind a glass wall, it extends the neo-Gothic facade of this 161 rooms-hotel, dedicated to contemporary Art (Taschen Editions store, Tony Cragg, Ellsworth Kelly masterpieces...)

The Mardan Palace Pool in Turkey

In 2009, Russian billionaire Telman Ismailov decided to spend 1,4 billion dollars to open his 5-stars hotel, genuine jewel on the Turkish Riviera, bordered with a beach which sand has been imported from Egypt. The palace's swimming-pool doesn't get out of "folie des grandeurs" with its 16 000m² crossed over by a replica of Gatala bridge by Leonardo da Vinci. As a reminder to Bosporus, you can move in the swimming-pool thanks to an historical boat called "Sultan Caicos".

The Hotel Caruso Pool

Perched above Ravello city (Italy), the Belmond Hotel Caruso infinity swimming-pool overlooks Tyrrhenian sea from its 350 meters high. Around it, some loungers, pillars and other vestiges from a Salerno villa from the 11th Century.
