LVMH opens its first watchmaking school in Switzerland

For hundreds of years, Switzerland always has been the centre of the watch industry with prestigious Houses such as Bretiling, Omega and Rolex. Today, LVMH, Tag Heuer and Zenith are associating their expertise to found the first Swiss watchmaking school in order to train the future horology specialists.

Located at La Chaux-de-Fonds, close to Neuchâtel, this new school will teach the Art of Swiss horology to young students and apprentices. This year, thanks to Jean-Claude Biver, the President of LVMH watches division and Chantal Gaemperle, LVMH Director of human resources, the school has welcomed 12 young people who are working and learning side by side with experts and professionals from Tag Heuer workshops and factory. They will also be lucky enough to discover all LVMH famous watch Houses and will be part of the "Institut des Métiers de l’Excellence" (Institute of business excellence).



It's been few years since Bernard Arnault already launched some partnerships with prestigious schools, bringing the LVMH DNA to some new formations as the "Luxury and Fashion Management" at Bocconi University (Milan) or the "Luxury Management" at HEC Paris.
