COMO The Halkin, our new London crush

Located in the richest neighborhood of London, COMO The Halkin is a charming boutique-hotel, mixing originality and modernity with five star services, comfort and sophistication. Best part of the hotel's discovery, the Michelin-starred restaurant to taste the best of Spanish gastronomy.

Welcome to Belgravia

If the tourists are addict to famous London neighborhoods as Notting Hill, Picadilly Circus and Knightsbridge, the Belgravia district is more exclusive with its luxurious private mansions, close to Buckingham Palace. In this area considered as the richest part of London, you will love the COMO The Halkin, a sophisticated hotel, as discreet as modern with its 41 rooms and suites. We love the creamy tones, marble bathrooms and natural light shining on the cosy big beds. We also have a crush for the COMO Suite and its big terrace facing the hotel's gardens but also for the Belgravia Suite and its vaulted room under the roof.

If the hotel unfortunately doesn't provide any Spa, few well-being services are available as Shambhala treatments in your room, private Yoga classes and direct access to Hyde Park for your morning jogging.

More than a gastronomic restaurant, a concept

All of the gourmets must book a table at "Ametsa with Arzak Instruction", the hotel's gastronomic restaurant, masterfully held by the female Spanish (Basque) Chef Elena Arzak, named World's best female Chef by Veuve Clicquot, and her father Juan Mari Arzak. Helped by Mikel Sorazu, Igor Zalakain and Xabier Gutierrez, they share a modern Basque gastronomy, already awarded by one Michelin Star. Here, the Mediterranean savors are queens and, the design by London-based Ab Rogers Design is making a wink at the Arzak's family original restaurant located in San Sebastian, famous worldwide for its three Michelin Stars. On the ceiling, you can see 7000 glass receptacles full of spices and, the floor made of old oak is inclined at a 30-degree angle. Spectacular.

The menu obviously changes with the seasons, depending on the product's availability as most of them are organic and coming from farms. At both lunch and dinner, you can choose between "A la carte" menu or tasting one. Some of our suggestions are the Asparagus with sesame and black truffle, langoustine's crepes, mango with beer and black pudding and spicy tuna with cinnamon. Salud.
