Authentical Christmas in Bremen

Do you remember " The Town Musicians of Bremen", this folktale from your childhood? It's time to visit this legendary German city even more beautiful during Christmas Holidays! Let yourself be enchanted by this fisherman's town for a unique winter.

A magical harbour

First of all, make sure you can endure smoked fish aroma as this is the principal smell of the city. Once you're comfortable with it, you can fully enjoy an authentic and quite magical city, perfect for Christmas holidays. Boats strolling through the River Wiser are illuminating Bremen during some nice evening walks, awarded by the tasting of freshly baked bread. Every year, during the holiday season, the "Schlachte magic" is the occasion to enjoy both maritime and historical attractions.

Back to the Middle Ages

Bremen still breathes Middle Ages, with its architecture made of huge wooden palisades, fortifications and towers. For entertainment, jugglers, craftsmen and of course, musicians are outside in the streets, leaving you with an unforgettable memory of your stay. And of course there is the traditional Christmas market, located on the market place, a UNESCO site, welcoming a beautiful cathedral and a statue of knight Roland, the city's protector, dating from 1404. Here, you will have plenty of choice for your shopping in the no less than 200 stands. And if want to get off the beaten track, don't hesitate exploring the surrounding areas by yourself ... Happy holidays!
