Spring/Summer 2011 Collection at Leonard

It was a whirlwind week in Paris, full of intriguing shows. Leonard sent out a parade of flagship silhouettes for the spring-summer collection 2011.

Featuring mid-length flowing skirts and gowns that exude casual elegance. The loose-fitted gowns are shaped in floral or Coptic printed fabrics tinged with a vibrant turquoise, Indian pink, a light purple and a shiny yellow softened by a deep navy blue. But also more simple looks, in a retro style, with sleeveless dresses and skirts along with jackets made of light plaited raffia or a pastoral vanilla-hued silk cloth. Followed by seaside looks with overcoats, mini shorts and ponchos in terrycloth and cotton waffle

Véronique Leroy nodded to the Wild West with her collection for Leonard, as the house’s iconic floral prints were appliquéd in bands for a Navajo blanket effect, while suede trimmed tunic dresses featured cowboy-boot curlicue motifs.

For Leonard, summer means freedom and lightness
