Michel Jonasz's comeback

Swing, blues, funk, jazz, soul... From Super Nana to Guigui, on the sea or in a jazz club, Michel Jonasz, Mister Swing, will always remain THE star in our French memories. He comes back today with classic French songs of the best singers who he had been inspired of.  An album humbly called Chanson Française!

French song in inheritance

In spite of its poetic melancholy so personal, its voice so inimitable (a kind of instrument itself!) Michel Jonasz is also the product of influences always claimed and transformed: blues, blues, blues of course, but also the yiddish song (remember Testament d'un poète juif assassiné) and on top of it: the French song.
Brassens, Montand, LéoFerré, Nougaro or the eternal Piaf, Mister Swing invites " La foule", "Les amoureux des bancs publics", Les feuilles mortes", "Avec le temps" and "Armstrong", for an escape in nostalgie-jazzy. The occasion to discover (again) this sacred monster of from March.  This exercise (recently tried by Voulzy, Gréco, Hardy, Bruel and Delpech) offers a personal view which breaks with the past... Pause or change in his career after his eponymous album in 2005? Michel Jonasz continues no matter what to seduce our hearing. Long live to French song!
