The Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 for a special anniversary
To celebrate the 65th anniversary of legendary Chevrolet Corvette, the car manufacturer introduces an exclusive model, the Carbon 65, a brand new version made of carbon fiber.
Carbon fiber, forever and always...
McLaren, Lotus, Aston Martin, Infiniti... Prestigious car manufacturers can't do without carbon fiber anymore, this latter being omnipresent on their latest supercars. Chevrolet follows the trend and introduces its anniversary model, the Corvette Carbon 65, limited to 650 editions. Alloy wheels, rear spoiler, lateral air intakes, hood, steering wheel, gloss elements around the cabin : carbon fiber, mainly made of carbon atoms for an ultra-light effect, is everywhere.
Only one color available : a beautiful Ceramic Matrix grey, sober and sophisticated, enlivened by Jet Black suede interior with flashy blue stitchings (same blue as on brake calipers).
Two versions, convertible or not and due to 2018, will be based on the Grand Sport 3LT and 206 3LZ models. They will feature an HD radio to listen to vintage hits from the 60's, a high resolution rear camera and a performance data recorder. 500 cars are already reserved for the United States Of America so, only 150 models will be available for export. A chance not to be missed for collectors addicted to Corvette, this series-produced car which, in 1953, was the first to offer lines directly derived from concept-cars and, to own fiberglass bodywork. So, like George Clooney, Paul McCartney and Tom Cruise, will you be crazy about Corvette ?
