The Hotel Savoy
The Hotel Savoy, which belongs to the Rocco Forte group, stands in the heart of Florence near the well-known Piazza della Repubblica. Its location is perfect as it is between the Duomo, the Campanile, the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. Built in 1896, this hotel is owned by the Ferragamo family and was designed by style guru Olga Polizzi.
Accommodations :
88 rooms, including 14 suites. The bedrooms on the fifth floor offer a great view over Florentine monuments, with a backdrop of the Tuscan landscape.
The Signoria and Brunelleschi suites offer a private hammam, equipped with chromotherapy and aromatherapy facilities, so that pleasure and relaxation become one.
The hotel has a large suite available for families, with two bedrooms. Its windows look out over the Piazza della Repubblica, at the very heart of the old town.
Restaurant :
Irene : At Irene's, the Kitchen is led by Chef Giovanni Cosmai and supervised by the charismatic Fulvio Pierangelini, famous all around the world. The Italian menu is really subtle, with some fresh associations. We love the Fish tartar with its vegetables sorbet but also the octopus served with beets and radishes and the tasty raviolis filled with pappa al pomodoro without forgetting the Lobster Linguine. On the design side, the atmosphere is truly inspired by the fifties, Italian without being formal. Green and yellow lights, design armchairs, lovely tableware including some nice champagne glasses, finely crafted and unpaired. A pure and stylish decoration. On the tables, few flowers but above all, some fresh vegetables, a bottle of San Vincenzo olive oil and a Modena vinegar, you are in Italy after all.
Spa :
A personal spa is at the disposition of guests in the the Signoria and Brunelleschi suites.
