Chef Michael Moore: The Healthy Cooking Ambassador

More than just a Chef, Michael Moore is an inspiring and inspired cook. Ever since his stroke – due to diabetes – in 2009, he is entirely devoting his career and renown to find and spread ways to cook good meals for diabetics, allowing them to enjoy the culinary pleasures again. With two of his three cooking books Blood Sugar and Blood Sugar, The Family, he launched what is simply called today the “Blood Sugar Philosophy”.

A real businessman

Michael Moore’s tremendous career as a chef, a food consultant and, of course, an author has made him famous across the three continents. He has made appearances on several TV shows such as: Junior MasterChef, Domestic Blitz and the famous NBC Today Show. Being a public and beloved cooking figure is allowing him today to spread his ideas. Not only is he sympathetic, he also is really smart: his cooking is both accessible to the home cook as well as appealing to renown restaurant patrons.
And his strategy works: every one wants to work with him. He was a consultant to Singapore Airlines, QANTAS Airways, Sofitel Hotels, Accor. In 2011, he was the Star Chef and Key Note Speaker at the International Food Bloggers Conference Dinner.

The Blood Sugar: an everyday philosophy

What he spreads, he applies. In September 2012, Michael Moore opened a new version of his successful 0 Bar and Dinning in Sydney. On the menu a pure application of his philosophy: good and healthy food for everyone. On March 14th, he was once again invited on the NBC News Today Show and cooked delicious-looking barbecue ribs with fresh horseradish and pickled chilli, sweet potato fries and a cinnamon apple upside down-pudding. One more proof that you can be a gourmet while eating healthy at the same time.
