Time in motion

This 18-karat white gold pocket watch is equipped with four individual tourbillons, rotating counterclockwise over 36 seconds as the hours and minutes advance in a traditional clockwise motion in an impressive show. Made up of multiple levels, the openwork movement reveals its complex architecture, performing their hypnotic ballet under bright blue titanium bridges. Providing texture and depth, some of the bridges and plates feature a microbead blasted finish, while other are satin brushed. The Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, denoted in a lighter shade of blue, while an emerald-cut diamond, Mr. Winston’s preferred shape crowns the scene at 12 o’clock. Set with 254 baguette-cut diamonds, the timepiece dazzles like a thousand stars. The sapphire crystal protecting the back of the pocket watch reveals the sophisticated manual-winding movement animating the four tourbillons, hours, minutes and power reserve indicator, allowing it to run for up to 55 hours.

The Ultimate Quadri Tourbillon hangs from a neo-classical arch, inspired by the entrance of HW’s legendary Fifth Avenue Salon. This 18-karat white gold structure features a precious marquetry of sparkling midnight-blue aventurine and 18 baguette-cut diamonds in the keystone, with at the top of the stand a push button for releasing the case, so it can be worn as a pocket watch. The Harry Winston Ultimate Quadri Tourbillon is a unique piece, although the brand is planning an eight-piece limited edition of a modified version in the near future.
