Fashion and Philanthropy come together at the United Nations to Celebrate International Women's Day

To commemorate the 2014 International Women's Day, the united Nations headquarters in New York hosted a special event on March 7, "Success for Progress", the first collaboration between the fashion luxury sector and the United Nations.

Organized by investment banking firm Ohana&Co and the United Nations Office for Partnerships, the event gathered a very unique group of international business leaders, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and philantropists. Speakers included Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka (UN Under Secretary General and Executive Director of UN Women), Annette Richardson (Head of UN Partnerships), Corinne Evens (Founder Goralska), Susan Rockefeller (Philantropist), Jeannette Chang (SVP Hearst Magazines International), Sade Baderinwa (Anchor WABC-TV Eyewtiness News), Emily Hwang (VP Asian Couture Federation), Lan Vu (Founder Beautystreams), Liz Edlich (Founder Radical Skin Care) and Melanie Griffith (Celebrity Advocate and Philantropist).
