Product of a close collaboration between Madame Chevalier and her brother, the Pavillon de la Reine is now 25 years old. For the past few months, Jérôme Chevalier, son of Madame, has been running the hotel in a manner that is in keeping with the family spirit and history, all the while offering innovation and originality. Madame Chevalier, worldwide traveller, bargain-hunter and collector, has succeeded in bringing her own personal touch to the project. Their objective? Making light of timeless historical codes by adding contemporary touches and new elements of design to this 17th century townhouse, using old and natural materials such as wood and stone in unexpected ways. As for the hotel’s exterior façade, it seems grown, lightened and modernised by the glass structure that now adorns the entrance. Inside, six pillars bring a certain harmony to the lobby area.
