The Royal Palm: A confidential address
Swiming poolDining near the swimming pool...Exterior loungesEnjoy the sight on the beachNight viewDual massage...
At this prestigious establishment, you will find the ultimate in luxury and refinement coupled with excellence and a classical decor. That could actually be the slogan for this outstanding hotel. Located in the northern part of the Mauritius Island, near the Grand Bay, sheltered from winds, this elegant oasis, surrounded by a strip of fine sand, unfolds its marine decor.

A relooked image ingeniously blended into the decor
Recently renovated, with discrete touches, today it can boast of a young image.
From the lobby, you can see the swimming pool with slate tiles surrounded by pebble stones, that extends into the sea with turquoise green reflections, giving the illusion of continuity. As for the famous bar « La Coupée », anchored on the promontory like the bow of a vessel, it has been lowered and offers a panoramic view over the bay.
At night, subtle variations of light bring enchantment and mystery to this place and to the « La Goélette » restaurant.
As for the Natureaty, it has taken up residence in front of the sea, its tables are spread over different levels on a water and rock structure, with the whispering of the waves and the star-filled sky in the background.
Here, every wish is fulfilled, thanks to a competent, courteous and discreet staff, who goes all the way out to cater to the guest’s every fancy, with discretion and elegance. The Royal Palm’s philosophy has been preserved by the new director, Jacques Silvant, who has competently respected and safeguarded the soul of this establishment, while bringing a touch of modernity to it.

Daily elegance
Every day, you will be impressed by the elegance: from the service (the silent ballet of men wearing bow ties, white gloves and silk belts) to the art of dining (refined and inventive) for breakfast, lunch at the Beach Bar or for dinner in your own room in the evening. Beige and ivory harmoniously blend in a dimmed and cosy atmosphere especially in the Royal suite, with its teakwood beach, its Jacuzzi swimming pool and its intimate pavilion. A decor that will delight you.
The man orchestrating all of the daily feasts, is Michel de Matteis –formerly of the Royal Monceau- who offers a culinary celebration worthy of three stars.

The Clarins temple : an impressive spa in an authentic setting
The new spa is a real temple of wellness, stretching over 2000 m² in a refined and more graphic setting of the colonial architecture of the island. To reach the spa, you go down a series of steps with huge lava stone beams surrounding a suspended bridge and before you know it, you can see several espaliered ponds where water flows, infiltrates and streams by to finish its course in a swimming pool with a slate tiles bottom, surrounded by giant plant pots.
This Clarins spa, dedicated to physical and psychological wellbeing, offers a broad range of treatments in its 13 cabins.
In a wood and stones decor, Ayurvedic massages that draw on herbal oil and hot sesame like Shanti, or Clarins treatments, are all happy experiences to be tried out.

A fitness area, up to par with the likes of large sports halls
As a great moment never comes alone, you can also enjoy the new fitness area, worthy of the highest standards, a real tropical garden surrounded by four open rooms on a patio and dedicated to four different activities : a body-building area, cardio area, pilate room and a physio room.
It is not often that you can find such a well-equipped fitness room in a luxury establishment like Royal Palm.

Bonne chance !
